The Intuit GoPayment application revolutionizes the way businesses conduct mobile transactions by seamlessly integrating with QuickBooks. The goal was to design and develop a mobile point-of-sale (POS) system for iOS that simplifies on-the-go payment processing while enhancing user experiences.

Background

Intuit, a pioneer in financial software solutions, recognized an increasing need for a mobile payment solution tightly integrated with QuickBooks. The challenge was to build an intuitive iOS app that provides businesses with a powerful tool to not only accept payments but also streamline their accounting processes. This vision spurred the creation of the GoPayment application, aimed specifically at users already benefiting from QuickBooks' comprehensive accounting features.

Research and Discovery

Our research phase was pivotal in defining the application's direction:

  • Comprehensive User Surveys: We engaged with diverse business owners to understand their mobile payment needs and pain points.

The Application

  • Wireframing and Prototyping: We developed detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize user flows and gather feedback early on.
  • User Experience (UX): focused on creating simple, efficient navigation and transaction processes to minimize user effort and increase satisfaction.
